With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Floyd Franklin Newton Jr. (Wadesboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Floyd Franklin Newton, Sr. and Johnnie Faye Freeman Newton; his daughter Crystal Gail Newton; and his brother Douglas Newton. He is survived by: his wife Norma Monroe Newton; his sons, Matthew Wayne Newton (Lynn) of Wadesboro, Mark Franklin Newton (Jennifer) of Lilesville and Bobby Floyd Newton of Lilesville; and his siblings, Judy Newton of Lilesville, Janet Hinson (Jeff) of Lilesville and Ron Newton (Angela) of Lilesville. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Faith Baptist Church, 3520 Stanback Ferry Ice Plant Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
