She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur L. McRae and Arlene S. McRae; her husband Albert Payne Jr.; her son Lonnie J. Pemberton Jr.; and her brothers, John D. and Preston McRae.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Staton (Bernard Staton) of Wadesboro, NC; and her siblings, Arthur D. McRae of Newport News, Vernon McRae (Peggy) of Mt. Gilead, NC., Florence Parker (Rufus), Rosemary Pemberton, Eva McRae (Grayland) of Mt. Gilead, NC and Valerie McClendon (Vernon) of Charlotte, NC.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
