With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emmanuel Rorie (Wadesboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 3, 2025 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ila Mae and Henry Thomas Rorie; and his siblings, Irene Gaddy, Walter Rorie and Wiley Rorie.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy M. Jackson; his sons, Charles C. Jackson (Jadi) of Bronx, NY and Milton A. Rorie of Morven, NC; his grandchildren, Nathan, Edward and Riley; his great grandchild Jamari; his goddaughters, Delish Sturdivant and Charlene Evans; and his siblings-in-law, Joe T. Jackson, Robert C. Jackson, Yvonne Rorie of Albemarle, NC, Brenda Rorie of Morven, NC, Vivian Gatewood of Morven, NC, Linda Ford of Morven, NC, Jerry Little of Chesterfield, SC, Sue Jackson of Chesterfield, SC, Patricia Jackson of Chesterfield, SC and Carolyn McQueen (Roosevelt) of Cheraw, SC.
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home (2036 Morven Rd, Wadesboro, NC 28170). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sandy Ridge Missionary Baptist Church (2111 Sandy Ridge Church Rd, Morven, NC 28119).
