She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert Dennis and Margaret Wilkerson Dennis; her husband James Edward Crowder; her son Dean Crowder; and her siblings, Robert Dennis, Ruby Wilkerson Strasbury, Linda Morris, Mary Anne Scercy, Donald Dennis and Wade Dennis.
She is survived by: her son J. Scott Crowder (John Locklear) of Charlotte; her granddaughters, Christina Crowder-Patriarch (Bill) of Clermont, FL and Lisa Marie Crowder of Nashville, TN; and her siblings, Betty Reid Milam of Kannapolis and David Dennis (Gayle) of China Grove. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren.
