She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Isiah Lewis and Emma Tyner Lewis; her husband J. W. Whittington; her son Tony Whittington; and her sisters, Laura Phillips, Elizabeth Griggs, Janie Livingston Moore and Mary Etta Keith.
She is survived by: her children, Dwight Whittington of McFarlan and Tracy Holloway (Mark) of McFarlan; her close friend Tommy Mathis of Polkton; her daughter-in-law Amy Whittington of Wadesboro; and her grandchildren, Matthew Whittington, Whitney Holloway, Kendall Holloway, Noah Holloway, Chloe Holloway, Lewis Whittington, Brooke Davis, Ashley Whittington and Jonathan Whittington.
