He was predeceased by: his parents, Madison Hammond and Solon Parker Hammond; his son Anthony A. Hammond; and his brothers, Coy Hamond, Herman Hammond and Steve Hammond.
He is survived by: his wife Valeria M. Hammond; his children, Kelly D. Hammond and LeeAnn Dickens; his siblings, Martha Burns (Billy), Dorothy Kiser (Columbus), Rose Howard, J. B. Parker (Lillie) and James Hammond (Mary); and his sisters-in-law, Maggie Hammond, Hazel Hammond, Girtha Little and Carolyn Taylor. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
