With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Lawson Thompson (Wadesboro, North Carolina), born in Hunter, Arkansas, who passed away on August 28, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ray Thompson and Mamie Lawson Thompson; his close friend Betty Beaver; and his siblings, Glendale Thompson, Lethy Grantham, Mary Frances McIver, Rayford Thompson, Ralph Thompson, Idhalia Rodriguez, Geraldine Sitzes and Judy Herning.
He is survived by: his children, Donald E. Thompson (Susan) of Phoenix, AZ, Kelly James (Billy) of McAlester, OK, Bridget London-Webb (Clark) of Ft. Smith, AR and Jeffery Thompson of McAlester, AR; his grandchildren, Odis Trammell (Heather) of Gowen, OK, Gabriel London (Stephanie) of Conway, AR, Erica Williams (Chris) of Ft. Smith, AR, Robert London, III (Ashley) of Ft. Smith, AR, Jacob Thompson of McAlester, OK, Elizabeth Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK, Jacob Webb and Logan Webb of Ft. Smith, AR; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Jaden, Jarrett Trammell, Jace Kious, Lena London, Michael London, Seth, Kristen, Taylor, Tiffany and Braelynn Williams; his brother Darrell Thompson of Hunter, AR; and his children, Rachel Duncan, Dallas Beaver (Maria), Madigan Beaver, Brien Loomis (Wyatt Poole) and Kadence. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
