He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clement and Hattie Grace Watts Burr. He is survived by: his wife Donna Morris Burr; his son Davis Burr of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Zackary, Chase, Ava and Mason; his brother Joe; his sister-in-law Sue Burr of Wadesboro; his niece Susan; and his nephews, Joey, Bobby and Richard.
