He is survived by: his wife Ruby Harrington Sheppard; his sons, Evans, Lynn Sheppard of Lilesville and Stacy Sheppard of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Morgan Eckersley of Peachland, Mallorie McGowan of Locust, Jesse Sheppard of Lilesville, Amber of Lilesville and Hunter Sheppard of Lilesville; and his great grandchildren, Kaylie Eckersley, Drew Eckersley, Dawson Eckersley, Rylan McGowan, Conner McGowan, Caden McGowan, Sawyer Sheppard, Lainey Sheppard and Tate Sheppard.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home (2036 Morven Rd, Wadesboro, NC 28170). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at the Hopewell Methodist Church (1715 Hopewell Church Rd, Peachland, NC 28133).
