He is survived by: his sons, Marcus Shankle of Albemarle, NC and Jason Shankle (Sandy) of Concord, NC; the mother of his children Vergie Flake of Albemarle, NC.; his aunts, Joyce Lyons of Norwood, NC and Myrtle Collins of East Elmhurst; and his uncle David Bryan of Norwood, NC..
