He was predeceased by: his parents, H. A. Dennis, III and Sybil Lowe Dennis. He is survived by: his children, Candy Dennis of Wadesboro, Chad Dennis of South Carolina and Sally Knopp (Kevin) of Mineral Wells, WV; his grandchildren, Katie and Thomas; and his sisters, Audrey Stegall of Peachland, Jeanette Vaughn (Thurmond) of Mt. Airy and Shirley Dennis of Liberty, TN..
