He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Hanna Carpenter; his son Toby Carpenter (Kimberly) of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Chloe, Noah, Zoey, Jonah, Isaiah, Micah, Owen Fulton and Kristian; his daughter-in-law Keelie Hill; and his sisters, Barbara Lutz (Larry) of Waxhaw, Joyce Meachum (Ray) of Wadesboro, Betty Baucom (Woody) of Burnsville and Shirley Hinson (Kenny) of Burnsville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
