He is survived by: his children, Katie Winfree of Rockingham, Amber Winfree of Rockingham, Bethany Winfree of Wadesboro and James Winfree of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Oaklyn and Hazley; his father David Winfree of Wadesboro; his sister Sue Ashby of Lilesville; his nephews, Matthew Ashby, Jr. of Lilesville, Steven Hildreth of Wadesboro and Shane Hildreth of Wadesboro; his niece Emily Ashby of Lilesville; his aunt Lynn O'Neal of Wadesboro; his uncle Paul Winfree of Wadesboro; and his cousins, Chris O'Neal of Wadesboro and Nicole O'Neal of Wadesboro.
