He was predeceased by: his parent Tom. He is survived by: his parent Laura; his wife Bettie H. Colson; his siblings, Starnie Linton (Allen Linton) and Henry Colson (Buck); his children, Betty Lynn Colson Huntley (Frank) of Wadesboro, NC, Sharon Denise Colson Little (Leroy) of Lilesville, NC, Fredrick Colson of Wadesboro, NC and Charles Melton Colson (Regina) of Monroe, NC; his sisters-in-law, Sara H. Willis, Margaret Ridenhour and Minister Earlene Massey; and also, Hattie H. Colson and Deacon Colson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
