He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Kenneth Pope and Pearl Mae Tucker Pope; his daughter Paula Pope Stegall; and his brothers, Tommy Pope and Ken Pope.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Maree Pope; his grandchildren, Tara Maree Stegall Shumard (Jeff) and Ted Eugene Stegall, Jr. (Nicole) of Marshville; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Grayson Shumard, Bradley and Lillian Stegall; his son-in-law Teddy Stegall of Marshville; his siblings, Shasta Thompson (Irvin) of Ansonville, Frank Pope (Ruth Ann) of Ansonville and Grace Pope (David) of Nashville; and his sister-in-law Ann Pope of Winston-Salem.
