She is survived by: her children, Gaila Gueye of Albemarle, NC, Kathy Richardson (Charlie), James Gaines Jr., Robin Gaines (Judy), Sylvia Biles (Oink) and Carolyn Gaines; her godchildren, Augusta Lilly of Norwood, NC, Monica Currie, Sandra Ledbetter, Daphne Hough and Grover Shankle; and her siblings, Eloise Davis, Gracie Dawkins-Williams (James), Eric D. Crump, Phillip Crump (Sarah), Orita Cardwell, Woodrow Dawkins, Sherneva Booker (Alvin), Mattie Dawkins, Emily Tiglur (Clarence), Brenda Dawkins, Clarence Dawkins, Hunter Edgerton Jr. An and Janice "Pete" Allen.
