It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Knotts Horne (Wadesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on October 20, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Fredrick Horne; her parent Fennie Williams Knotts; her son Richmond Knotts; her grandsons, James Horne Jr. and Curtis Blount; and her siblings, Rachel Alvina Little, Beatrice Ingram, Minnie Rorie, Clinton Knotts, William Knotts, Haywood Knotts, Frank Knotts, Houston Knotts, James Knotts and Thomas Knotts.
She is survived by: her children, James Horne (Carrie) of Charlotte, NC, Lee Thomas, Josephine White of Tucker, GA, Pauline Micheal of Polkton, NC, Patricia Harris (Jerry) of Lilesville, NC, Geneva Covington of Wadesboro, NC, Norma Jean Powell of Chester, SC and Heneretha Scott (Mike) of Albemarle, NC; and her brothers, Fred Knotts (Betty) of Polkton, NC and Risdon Knotts of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by great, great, grandchildren and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
