He was predeceased by: his parents, Spencer Clark and Gertrude Leak Clark; his children, Burney Clark and Shirley Garris; his sisters, Nannie, Ruth and Odessa; and his half-sister Elizabeth.

He is survived by: his wife Rosa Lee Davis Clark; his children, Geretha Tillman (Donnell) of Wadesboro, Brenda (Greg) of Wadesboro, Eric Clark of Wadesboro and Tony Clark (Elizabeth) of Wadesboro; and his siblings, Franklin Clark of Wadesboro, Prentice Clark of Wadesboro and Linda Bruton of Albemarle. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
