It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur Bennett (Wadesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on August 18, 2019, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth Leak Bennett and Eugene Bennett; and his siblings, Ernest Bennett and Pauline Phillips. He is survived by: his sons, Arthur A. Bennett, Jr. of Wadesboro, NC and Nigel Bennett of Huntersville, NC; his friend Sharone Chiles; his grandchildren, Arianna Bennett and Ahmir Bennett; his siblings, Perry (Gwen), Stanley D., Edward (Sadie), Anas, Minister Sara Leak, Linda Marshall (Leroy), Esther and Sheba Willoughby (Derrick); his nephew Torrey Phillips; and his aunts, Virginia Smith of Wadesboro, NC and Edna Gatewood of Queens, NY. He is also survived by eleven other nephews; eight nieces.
