It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annie Ruth Lomax Spencer (Wadesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Anner Little and Jesse Lomax; her husband Robert L. Spencer Sr. of Lilesville, NC.; her sons, Robert L. Spencer Jr. and Reginald T. Spencer; and her siblings, Fred, David, Lilly, Margaret, Lucille, Jessie, Lizzie, Tennie Mae and Jimmy Lomax (Delores).
She is survived by: her former spouse Baltimore, MD; her children, James Spencer (Renee) and Carlas Spencer (Jackie); her grandchildren, James Spencer Jr. (Carliqua), Captain Kristin Spencer, Dominique Spencer, Regina Houston (Michael) and Reggie Spencer; her great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Amerie, London, Aubrey, Joshua and Micah; her sisters, Roberta Spencer (Billy) and Ola Mae Johnson; and her siblings-in-law, Rose Wall, Thomasina Allen (Lee), Sherry Wall, Charles Wall and Marvin Wall. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, Smith's Funeral Directors REQUIRE that a mask/face covering be worn by all attendees attending the service and upon entry into the funeral home. Social distancing will be practiced.
Annie built a strong family foundation and was a devoted mother to all of her children.
