He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Odell Deatherage, Sr. and Shirley Hancoff Deatherage; his son Brad Deatherage; and his brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Deatherage.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Horne Deatherage; his son Chris Deatherage of Wadesboro; his grandson Ricky; his siblings, Michael Deatherage (Debbie) of Florida and Tammy Deatherage of Florida; and his extendeds, Horne of Peachland, Diane Shackleford of Peachland, Patsy Honeycutt of Peachland, Kendra Freeman of Wadesboro and Robbie Mitchell of Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Horne Family Cemetery, c/o, Eldis Caudle, or to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
