She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel Hance and Mary Magdalene Autry Matthews; and her husband Colon Linwood Benson. She is survived by: her children, Sarah Beth Dawson (Brian) of Wade and Justin Cole Benson (Jennifer Wilkes); her siblings, Diane Dorman (Wayne) of Falcon and Keith Matthews (Sherry) of Godwin; and her grandchildren, Aidan, Allie Dawson and Lucas Wilkes.
