He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Godwin and Ruby Heath Godwin; and his siblings, Herbert Wythe Godwin, Timothy Gray Godwin and Pennie P. Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Jackson Godwin; his sons, Scottie S. Godwin, Jr. (Sabrina K.) of Dunn and Glenn J. Godwin of Wade; his brother Bennie Ray Godwin (Peggy) of Belmont; and his grandchild Sherrill T. Godwin of Raeford.
In accordance with current NC COVID19 guidelines a public viewing will be held from 4pm-6pm, Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
