She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon George and Mary Lillian Lewis Smith; her husband Fred Matthews; her son Fred A. Matthews; her siblings, Otis Smith, Robert Jackson Smith, Cary Smith, Carl Smith, Ronald Smith, Russell Smith, Jasper Smith, Elmer Smith and Louise Smith White; and her grandson Rex Autry.
She is survived by: her children, Leon Matthews (Joanne), Ida Autry, Edith Edge (Burnice), Mary Beasley (Ken), Barbara Pruitt (Kermit) and Elaine Simmons (Dennis); and her daughter-in-law Sylvia Matthews. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.
