She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Carter and Lola Margaret Scoggins Carter; her husband James R. Vann; her sons, Rudy and Brian Vann; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Vann; her brother Sonny Carter; and her sister-in-law Suellen Carter.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Catherine Vann; her siblings, Peggy Vann (Earl) of Wade and Johnny Carter of Eastover; and her sister-in-law Jean Carter of Dunn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
