He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McKinney and Nancy McKinney; his wife Linda Watts; and his brothers, Jack Watts, Wade, Edward, James and Glenn McKinney.
He is survived by: his sisters, Della Hawkins and Billie Floyd; his children, Angela, Sherry Watts and Herbert Watts (Tony); his grandchildren, Miya, Hannah, Emily Watts and Alexander Generette; and his great grandchild Kamren Watts.
