He was predeceased by: his parents, Delma Johnson and Mandy Ellen Hudson Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Annette Johnson; his daughter Amy Johnson; his stepson Donnie Bryant of Fayetteville; his sister Dorothy Fann of Clayton; and his grandchildren, Skylar Bullard, Cody Williams and Donnie Bryant, Jr..
