He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Joseph and Helen Louise Cash Scism; and his sister Della Faye Murray. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Black Scism; his children, Josh Scism and Angie Scism (Don Mason); his grandchildren, Summer Bachman (Jesse) and Fitzhugh McMurry III (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Eli Bachman, Emerson McMurry and Lyla McMurry. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
