He was predeceased by: his father George Kenneth Herman. He is survived by: his mother Reba Watson Herman of Vilas; his siblings, Vivian Woodward (J. C.) of Purlear, Michael Herman of Vilas, Junior Herman (Linda) of Boone and Tommy Herman (Debbie) of Asheville; his aunts, Betty Hollars of Boone and Mildred Herman of Vilas; his uncle Arlie Watson of Boone; his close friend Brenda Wallace; his grandson Chandler Lewis; and also Kelly Lewis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
