He was predeceased by: his parent Thuthill McGinnis; and his brother Ray (Dare McGinnis) of Vilas, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Deanna Hawkins McGinnis; his children, Carla (Eric Gaydos) of Matthews, NC, Evan (Amy McGinnis) of St. Johns, FL and Shelli (Jeff Johnson) of Sugar Grove, NC; his grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob Gaydos, Carson, Eli McGinnis, Jada and Mila Johnson; and his sister Joy (Jerry Canter) of Sugar Grove, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
