He is survived by: his parents, Carroll Russell and Ellen Wagoner Russell; his children, Sara Russell of Boone and Alan Russell (Maielee) of Long Beach, California; and his siblings, Martha Farmer (Dan) of Kingsport and Mark Russell of Morehead City. He is also survived by nieces and one nephew.
