It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Preacher Thomas William McGuire of Vilas, North Carolina, who passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith McGuire and Eliza Howell McGuire; his former wife Mary Helen Ward McGuire; and his brothers, Baxter and Wesley McGuire.
He is survived by: his wife Blanche Wilson McGuire of Vilas; his daughter Melanie Tester (Wayne) of Sugar Grove; his grandsons, Andrew Tester of Sugar Grove and Benjamin Tester of Sugar Grove; and his brother Gary McGuire (Elaine) of Vilas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel (683 Blowing Rock Rd, Boone, NC 28607). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Grove Baptist Church.
