He was predeceased by: his parents, Adie Lee Harmon and Gladys Mae Hicks Harmon; his wife Susie Presnell Harmon; his son Charles Earnest Harmon; and his siblings, Grady, Ernest, Huston, Benny Clay, Ralph Harmon and Rosa Marie Harmon.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Lisa Marie Harmon of Vilas and Leslie Lewis (Jamie) of Laurel Springs; his great grandchildren, Xavier "Zay" Henry, Clint and Hailey; and his siblings, Virginia Dare Ward of Boone, Linda Mae Kelly of Lenoir, Betty Sue Ward of Elk Park and Conley Lee Harmon of Vilas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
