With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen Pitela of Vass, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Pitela and Stella Zurcmanoviche Pitela; and his wife Shirley O'Neil Pitela. He is survived by: his sisters, Ann of Michigan and Helen of Pennsylvania; and his nephew Patrick Hanrahan of Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to a charity of one's choice.
