He was predeceased by: his parents, Duncan Hector and Margie Foster Smith; his daughter Judy Faye Hudson; his siblings, Rebecca Arthur, Duncan Hector Smith, Jr. and Daniel Robert Smith; and his grandchildren, Donald, Jr., Crystal and Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Nettie Ann Faulk Smith; his children, Rhonda Smith Fields of Vass, Becky "Corky" Diane Smith of Vass and Donald Curtis Smith (Evelyn) of Vass; his sister Myrtle Anderson of Vass; his grandson Reed Smith of Jamie Fields; and his great grandchildren, Tristan, Jayden and Bryson.
