He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Lockey, Jr. and Dorothy Grooms Lockey; and his siblings, John Edward Lockey, III and Delores Ann Russell. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sessoms Lockey; his children, Sheena Lockey Locklear (Carlos) of Aberdeen and Mitchell W. Lockey, Jr. (Kiersten) of Laurinburg; his stepchildren, Dana Shook (Lewis Bennett) of Pinebluff and Dale Zick (Laura) of Salisbury; his sisters, Melissa Ikner (Steve) of Laurinburg and Barbara Jean Lockey of Southern Pines; his grandchildren, Kadence "Boot Boot", CJ "Bookieman", Caroline "Booshee" and Kiyah "Boo Boo"; his nephew Josh Medlin; and his niece Caylin "Bug" Ikner. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
