He is survived by: his wife Mary Rollins Whitaker; his daughters, Deborah Ann Fowler of Vass and Denise Vee Morton (David) of Florida; and his siblings, Tina Foster of Southern Pines, Gene Whitaker (Doris), Ray Whitaker (Mary Alice), Mike Whitaker (Linda) and Bill Whitaker. He is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
