He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin John and Helen Dillon Heinold; and his wife Katie Smith Heinold. He is survived by: his son Russell Heinold (Lori) of Vass; his sister Helaine Gray of Massachusetts; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Megan and Alex.
