He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Simpson and Freda Gshwind Simpson; his significant other Deborah M. McArdle; and his siblings, Cathy Simpson, Margaret Bailey, Leatrice Simpson and Harold Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Craig Mark Simpson (Angela) of Willow Springs, NC, Laura Dawn Simpson of South Carolina and Sarah Lynn Bass of Cameron, NC; his grandchildren, Carson Sessoms, Codie Kennedy, Jordyn Simpson and Nicole Allen; his great grandchildren, Kacey Allen, Tinley Allen and Cameron Kennedy; and his sister Dorothy Stewart.
