He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Frederick and Margaret Halligan Brand; and his sister Jacqueline Armes. He is survived by: his wife Elgie Hannah Brand; his daughters, Kathleen Powers (Thomas) of Vass, NC, Julianne McCarl (Mark) of Rockledge, FL and Carolyn DeJesus (Daniel) of Vass, NC; his sister Mary Lourdes McIntyre of Rochester, NY; his grandchildren, Gregory Powers (Jesica), Christina Harwell (Joseph), Timothy Powers (Rebekah), Daniel DeJesus (Amber), James McCarl (Robyn), Margaret Miller (John), Michael DeJesus and Olivia DeJesus; his stepdaughter Melissa Williams (Chad); and his friend Mary Zagari. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
