She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Dortch and Lula Cameron Coore; her children, Paul Duwayne Simpson and Elizabeth Ann Simpson Spruill; and her siblings, Sylvia Coore Pies, Janet Coore Barfield, Frances Coore Smith and Paul Buie Coore.
She is survived by: her husband Earl Franklin Simpson; her daughter-in-law Leanne Simpson; her grandchildren, Kelly Haddock (Ben), Shannon Smith (Brandon), Audrey Burns (Hunter) and Chad Simpson; and her great grandchildren, Braxton, Sage, Ayden and Charlotte. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
