It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Elizabeth Vann of Vass, North Carolina, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on October 23, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father John Brown; her husband James Robert Vann; her daughter Sharon Ruth Plunkett; her grandson James Vann Izzo; and her siblings, Lillian Shulze and Robert Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Jansen (Charles) of Vass, Donna Ottaviano (Robert) of Berlin and Susan Mendez of Elma, Washington; and her siblings, Ethel Gardiner (James) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and David Brown (Leslie) of West Hartford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
