The memory of Yvonne Pruitt James of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2024 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Thurston James; her parents, Eleanor Beatrice Hickman and Elwood Smith Pruitt; and her brother Glenn Pruitt. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia James Wilkinson (Don) of Stokes and Gregory James (Kim) of Chocowinity; her grandchildren, Zachary Wilkinson (Lacey), Nicholas Wilkinson and Megan Patterson (Josiah); her brothers, Wallace Pruitt (Betty) and Dean Pruitt (Karen); and her sister-in-law Peggy Pruitt. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
