He is survived by: his wife Bertie Adams Newsome; his daughter Amy Newsome Peaden (Jonathan); his grandsons, Aubrey, Sid and Gentry Peaden; his brother-in-law Jake Adams; and his siblings, Phyllis Whitley, Jackie Alexander, Doug and Rudy Newsome.
