She is survived by: her husband Chris Elks; her sons, Chris Elks, Jr. (Nicole) and Randle Allen Elks; her grandchildren, Joshua and Ainsley Elks; and her brother John Allen Coward of Vanceboro. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
