He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Calvin and Mabel Harper Richardson; his wife Merle Stokes Richardson of Grifton; and his brother Horace Earl Richardson. He is survived by: his children, Royce Erwin "Roy" Richardson, Jr. (Patty Bowen Richardson) and Terry Belinda Richardson (Jonathan Noyes) of Kitty Hawk; his grandchildren, Joshua Richardson (Brittany) of Ayden and Lindsey Gray Grady (Bryce) of Kinston; and his great grandchildren, Brantley, Emmie Kate Richardson and Bowen Grady.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Farmer Funeral Service (109 SR Second St, Ayden, NC 28513). A reception was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Farmer Chapel (109 SR Second St, Ayden, NC 28513).
