She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Lewis Ormond; her significant other Jeff Simpkins; and her brother Calvin Roberson. She is survived by: her children, James Henry Ormond (Sheryl), Rose Ormond Horn of New Bern and Bertha Leigh Ormond of New Bern; her grandchildren, Michelle O. Schutta (Allen), Michael Ormond, James Ormond, Eddie Horn, Brandy H. Turner (Melvin), Austin Crow and Shiann Lawson; and her sister Myrtle Lawson of NewBern. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
