He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Lloyd Braxton; his parents, Lester Braxton and Louise Braxton; and his sons, Neil Braxton and PeeWee Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Barnhill (John), Tina Wilson and Mike Wilson (Pat); and his siblings, Betty "BJ" Eakes, Nancy Justice, Dorothy Strickland, Faye Moore, Debra Braxton, Brenda Eastwood, Lester "Buddy" Braxton, Jessie Braxton, Albert Braxton and Kenneth Braxton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
