He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard R. Gaskins and Esther Virginia Jones Gaskins; his sister Marjorie Gaskins; and his wife Louise Gaskins. He is survived by: his stepson Fillingame of Chocowinity; and his siblings, Dianne G. Kite (Stanley) of Vanceboro, Sammy Gaskins (Cindy) of New Bern, Allen Gaskins and Beverly Woolard of Vanceboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
