It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Thomas Evans (Vanceboro, North Carolina), who passed away on October 8, 2018, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Hicks Evans; his daughters, Sherry Lynn Evans Moore (Eddie) of Vanceboro, Lynda Evans of Ernul and Melanie Evans Jones of Vanceboro; his siblings, Gail Gaskins (Linwood) of Vanceboro and Kenny Evans (Barbara) of New Bern; and his granddaughter Lauren "Cotton" Moore.
